Temperature has changed
Tell us whether items are softening, whether the change is constant and what the display shows. A temperature reading, if already available, is more useful than a guess about a failed component.

A GOOD PLACE TO START
DESCRIBE THE CHANGE
Your observations help explain the request. The appliance needs assessment before a fault and proposed repair are established.
Tell us whether items are softening, whether the change is constant and what the display shows. A temperature reading, if already available, is more useful than a guess about a failed component.
Describe where frost or water first appears. For an upright freezer, mention the door; for a chest unit, describe the lid and whether it closes as before.
Say when the sound occurs and whether freezing performance has also changed. Record the exact message rather than trying to interpret a code from another model.
THE ACTUAL APPLIANCE MATTERS
A chest freezer in a basement and a freezer column fitted into kitchen cabinetry have different access details. Tell us the appliance style, floor and any narrow stairs or restricted space.
If you have a refrigerator-freezer combination, identify the affected compartment. If it is a separate unit, provide that freezer’s model number. You do not need to move or dismantle it before the call.
Discuss your model and installation →DISCUSS YOUR OPTIONS
Discuss the condition of the freezer, the diagnosed fault and the installation before deciding on repair or replacement. Tell our manager if you are also considering a different appliance.
Ask how the diagnostic visit, proposed repair and any parts would be explained. A description over the phone helps prepare the visit; it does not establish the cause or a final repair price.
Tell us whether the refrigerator compartment is affected too.

Choose your brand for appliance-specific information. For a chest, upright or fitted freezer, the model and installation help explain the service request.
For a Bosch freezer, share the complete E-Nr from the rating plate when it is accessible. Bosch’s model-number guide for freezers can help you locate it.
Have another brand? Discuss your appliance with our manager.
YOUR NEXT STEPS
Identify the freezer type, the temperature change and its location in your home. Mention basement access or fitted cabinetry so our manager can discuss the visit, timing and proposed work.
